TIEG Facilities
The TIEG group's facilities are divided into two laboratories: the renewable energy, electric vehicle and traction control laboratory and the EMI/EMC and simulation laboratory.
Renewable energy, electric vehicle and traction control laboratory.
This laboratory has the necessary material for designing and prototyping power converters. It has hardware and software for designing converters applied to renewable energies, electric vehicles and traction control. The laboratory is equipped with the following material:
- 7.5-kVA and 70-kVA matrix converter.
- 2 x 20-kVA Three-level NPC inverter, back-to-back connection.
- 4 x 3-kVA Three-phase inverter.
- 2 x 40 kVA SiC Three-phase inverter.
- 1 20 kVA Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC)
- 2 x cRio National Instruments
- Wind-photovoltaic facility (800 W + 3 kW)
- Multiple electrical motors
- Multiple resistive and inductive loads.
- 2 x dSpace DS1103 y DS1006
- 6 kVA Programmable power supply.
- 2 Power Active Filters
-
Many oscilloscopes and other general instrumentation..

EMI/EMC and simulation laboratory.
This second laboratory is equipped with instruments to carry out EMI measurements. Likewise, the laboratory is equipped with software to carry out the simulation of electronic systems, electromagnetic simulation and the design of printed circuit boards (PCB).
The laboratory includes the following equipment:
- TEM cell
- RF generator
- Spectrum analyzer
- "Line Impedance Stabilization Network" o LISN.
- RF amplifier.
- Network Analyzer.
- EMC clamps
- EMC Antennas
- GPIB controller boards.
- National Instruments Data acquisition systems.
- Many oscilloscopes and other general instrumentation.
